#1 - Is Carun petroselinum (Umbelliferae) poisonous to rabbits?
Abstract in English:
The sprouting and flowering parsley, Carun petroselinum Benth. et Hook. ( = Petroselínum crispum (Mill) Nym. ex A. W. Hill), of the Umbelliferae family, was given ad libitum to 5 rabbits. The animals consumed between 92.6 g/kg (in 3 days) and 433.4 g/kg (in 4 days) and did not show any symptoms of poisoning. Initially they ate the plant well, but during the following days the appetite for the plant diminished, and between the 4th and 6th day the rabbits stopped to eat it.

A administração de Carun petroselinum Benth. et Hook. ( = Petroselinum crispum (Mill) Nym. ex A. W. Hill), a "salsinha", da família Umbelliferae, administrada ad libitum a 5 coelhos em doses que variaram entre 92,6 g/kg (em 3 dias) e 433,4 g/kg (em 4 dias) da planta fresca, em brotação ou em floração, não provocou sintomas de intoxicação. Observou-se que inicialmente os coelhos comiam avidamente a planta, porém, nos dias seguintes o apetite pela planta diminuiu, até sua completa recusa a partir do 4º ao 6º dia.
